Mext Scholarship

MEXT is a fully funded Japanese government-owned scholarship for international students. The scholarship is available for undergraduate, master, Ph.D., and training studies.MEXT scholarship covers tuition fees, monthly allowance as well as travel expenses from your country to Japan.

Japan Scholarships

There are six categories for the MEXT scholarship. They are:

  • Research students
  • Teacher training students
  • Undergraduate student
  • Japanese studies student
  • College of Technology student
  • Specialized training college student

Those who wish to study abroad are required to apply in one of two ways,

Embassy recommendation or university recommendation. 

All categories can apply with one of two methods or recommendations, except the specialized training college student and teacher training students. They can only apply through the embassy recommendation.

The scholarship is a total of 143,000¥~145,000¥ per month for research students and teacher training students, and 117,000¥ per month for the remaining four categories.

Honjo International Scholarship

Honjo offers fully funded Japan Scholarships for international students. This scholarship is available to master’s and Ph.D. students. Honjo scholarship makes provision for a monthly allowance, accommodation, and travel expenses for attending an international conference.

Joint Japan World Bank Graduate Scholarship Programme 

Joint Japan World Bank Graduate Scholarship Program is a fully funded master’s scholarship for international students. The scholarship will cover the full tuition fee, accommodation, economy class air travel, and monthly living stipend at new castle university.

NIG Post Doctoral Fellowship Scholarship 

NIGPDFS, offers a fully funded scholarship of three years starting from the first day of employment, with annual reappointment. This fellowship pays an annual salary of 4,100,000 JPY, tax included, compensation insurance, a commuting allowance, and health insurance through a cooperative society.

Student Exchange Support Programme

For qualified international students accepted by a Japanese university, graduate school, junior college, college of technology, or professional training college, under a student exchange agreement or other student exchange arrangement on a short-term basis ranging from 8 days to one year between the Japanese school and their home higher education institution outside of Japan (hereinafter ref), JASSO offers scholarships. The scholarship is About 80,000 JPY per month.

Only students attending Japanese schools may apply for the scholarship.

Ting Hsin Scholarship At Waseda University 

Ting Hsin International Group, Tingyi (Cayman Islands) Holding Corp. Scholarship is awarded to students who are accepted to International Graduate Program (Master’s Program) after the entrance examination (a document reviewing).

Accepted applicants will study at Waseda university Japan, in the field of science and engineering, scholarship awards issued on annual basis are just a few, Applicants must be citizens of China, Hong Kong Taiwan, or Macau. The Japan Scholarships ranges to a total of 1,500,000JPY annually which is provided for a maximum period of 2 years.

Eligibility

For consideration for the scholarship, candidates must fulfill the requirements listed below:

(1) Intention to Attending Graduate School 

  • Candidates must be steadfastly committed to attending the specific graduate program at Waseda that is their top choice.

(2) Country or Region 

  • Citizens of China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, or Macau are required to apply.

(3) Residence Address 

  • At the time of application, candidates must be residents of China (including Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Macau).

(3) Educational Background 

  • those who obtained their undergraduate degree from a Chinese university (including those in Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Macau), or who are expected to do so.

(5) Age 

  • To be eligible for admission, applicants must be under 30 when they enroll in one of Waseda University’s graduate programs.
