The Zombie Apocalypse Scholarship is a cool chance for students who like zombie stuff to show how creative and smart they are. The scholarship wants you to think about what you’d do if there were zombies at your school and make a plan to stay safe. If you win, you get $2,000 to help with college.
Zombie Apocalypse Scholarship Eligibility Criteria:
- Applicants must be 14 years of age or older at the time of application.

1. ELIGIBILITY: The Unigo.com Zombie Apocalypse Scholarship contest is open only to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia, aged fourteen (14) or older at the time of application. Applicants must be currently enrolled (or enroll no later than the fall of 2028) in an accredited post-secondary institution of higher learning (college, university, or trade school). Current employees, officers, directors, and agents of the Sponsor and its related companies, as well as their immediate families (defined as spouse, parents, siblings, and children) and persons residing at the same address are not eligible to win. Void where prohibited.
2. HOW TO ENTER: To enter, starting October 31, 2022, submit a complete scholarship application online at the Sponsor’s Website (www.unigo.com/our-scholarships) no later than October 31, 2023, at 11:59 pm Pacific Time. Limit one (1) application per person. The application must include name and contact information, background details, academic details, and a short original, previously unpublished written response to the scholarship topic (250 words or less). Written responses must be in English, with correct spelling and grammar.
3. SELECTION OF POTENTIAL WINNERS: A qualified panel of judges will select one (1) potential winner based on writing ability (25%), creativity (25%), originality (25%), and overall excellence (25%). The potential winner will be notified by email on or about January 29, 2024.
4. PRIZES: One (1) winner will receive a Scholarship Prize in the amount of one thousand five hundred dollars and zero cents ($1,500.00). The Scholarship Prize will be in the form of a check made payable directly to the accredited post-secondary institution of higher education attended by the Scholarship Prize Recipient.
Scholarship Prize Recipient must submit proof of enrollment on or before 2028. The awarding of any Scholarship Prize is contingent upon full compliance with these Official Rules and subject to Sponsor’s verification of Applicant and Applicant’s submission.
Applicants understand that Sponsor is not liable for injuries, losses, or damages arising from participation in this Scholarship Program and acceptance, possession, and use of the Scholarship Prize.
5. PRIVACY: By submitting an application, you acknowledge that the Sponsor and its related companies may contact you with information it thinks may be of interest to you, subject to Sponsor’s privacy policy at https://www.unigo.com/aboutus/privacy
6. PUBLICITY: Except where prohibited, by accepting a Scholarship Prize, the Scholarship Prize Recipients agree that Sponsor may use their name, voice, and/or likeness in any and all media for advertising and promoting purposes.
7. OWNERSHIP: By submitting an application, you acknowledge that Sponsor will own your application, including your written response submission. Sponsor will own all publishing rights in and to the application and the written response submission.
8. DISPUTE RESOLUTION: All issues and questions concerning the rules and rights shall be governed by and construed exclusively in accordance with the laws of the state of Oregon. Disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Oregon.
9. REPRESENTATIONS AND WARRANTIES/INDEMNIFICATION: Applicants represent and warrant that their application is their own original, previously unpublished work. Applicants agree to indemnify and hold the Sponsor harmless from any claims, actions, or proceedings and related damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses.
10. FURTHER DOCUMENTATION: Potential Scholarship Prize Recipients will be required to complete and return necessary documents within ten (10) days of notification.
11. NO OBLIGATION TO USE: Sponsor has no obligation to use any winning application and may abandon it for any reason.
12. RELEASE AND LIMITATIONS ON LIABILITY: Participants acknowledge that the Sponsor and its affiliates are not responsible for any costs, injuries, losses, or damages arising from participation in the Scholarship Program.
13. SPONSOR’S RIGHT TO MODIFY, SUSPEND, OR TERMINATE: Sponsor may modify, suspend, or terminate the Scholarship Program at its discretion.
14. GENERAL PROVISIONS: Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any individual found tampering with the application process or violating these Official Rules.
15. LIST OF SCHOLARSHIP PRIZE RECIPIENTS: The names of the Scholarship Prize Recipients will be posted on the Unigo.com website under “Our Scholarships Winners.”

To apply for the Unigo Zombie Apocalypse Scholarship, follow these steps

Step 3: Write a short Essay to this question: “Picture your school full of zombies – your teachers, lunch ladies, and even your best friend turned into zombies. Plan how you’d stay safe and the top five things you’d bring to survive. Keep it short, around 250 words.”
