    The AKA EAF Scholarship 2024 is sponsored by the Alpha Kappa Alpha Educational Advancement Foundation (EAF). It’s open to all international college graduate and undergraduate students.

    About the Alpha Kappa Alpha Educational Advancement Foundation

    The Alpha Kappa Alpha Educational Advancement Foundation, Inc. (EAF) is dedicated to advancing education to promote lifelong learning. The foundation’s mission is achieved by raising charitable funds to provide scholarships and grants. These funds support graduate students, post-freshman students, and non-profit organizations serving diverse communities. Scholarships and grants from the Foundation are awarded without any discrimination based on gender, race, creed, age, sexual orientation, ethnicity, or disability.

    POSSE Scholarship Program in USA 2024-2025 for International Students

    Kappa Alpha Educational Advancement Scholarship Eligibility Criteria:

    To be eligible for this scholarship, you must meet the following general criteria:

    • Currently enrolled full-time (as per your school’s qualifications) at an accredited degree-granting institution. Online and accelerated classes are accepted.
    • Graduate students should have plans to continue their academic pursuits in the fall of the grant year.
    • Demonstrate exceptional academic achievement and/or financial need.
    • Show leadership, volunteerism, civic involvement, and academic service.

    Selection Process:

    Awardees will receive notifications by December. The selection process is blind, meaning the reviewers do not know the identity of the applicants, ensuring fairness and objectivity. Recommendations for awards are subject to final approval by the Alpha Kappa Alpha Educational Advancement Foundation Board of Directors.

    Application Deadline:

    The application deadline for this scholarship is August 15, 2023.

    Amount Awarded:

    Qualified expenditures covered by this scholarship include tuition, room/board, coursework fees, books, and supplies (such as paper, notebooks, computers, electronic media, etc.), local transportation (e.g., commuting to/from school, including bus fare, mileage, auto expenses, parking, and tolls). These awards are one-time, so if you have previously received one of our general scholarships, please do not reapply..

    How To Apply for AKA EAF Scholarship 2024 for Graduate and undergraduate students

    If you’re interested in applying for scholarships through the Alpha Kappa Alpha Educational Advancement Foundation, Inc., please follow these steps:

    1. Visit the EAF website at www.akaeaf.org.
    2. Click on the Scholarship, Endowments, or Fellowships Tab.
    3. Follow the link to access the scholarship portal, where you can create your scholarship profile.
    4. Complete your online application, ensuring you include all the necessary attachments.

    Here are the application deadlines:

    • For undergraduate students: April 15
    • For graduate students: August 15
    • For Community Assistance grants: August 15
    • For Endowment scholarships: No deadline
    • For Fellowship Awards: April 15 (only in even-numbered years)

    Please note that EAF scholarships are open to all international college students, This includes not only members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. but also their dependents.

    For those interested in the Youth Partners in Accessing Capital (Youth P.A.C.) awards, here are the eligibility criteria:

    • You must be an undergraduate member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority.
    • You should be at least a sophomore.
    • Maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
    • Demonstrate leadership and volunteer service.

    The deadline for Youth P.A.C. scholarship applications is April 15.
