    About the Americanism Essay Contest & Awards

    The Essay Contest Awards are categorized into six classes corresponding to grade levels. Within each of these classes, one award will be granted in every division. The winners of these awards will be honored with a $50 prize, and an additional $50 donation will be made in the student’s name to the Children of Warriors National Presidents’ Scholarship fund.

    About FRA Scholarship Essay Contest

    The FRA hosts an annual essay contest to inspire Americanism and patriotism in our youth. It’s open to students in grades 7 through 12, including homeschoolers. Students can send in a 350-word essay through an FRA member or their local FRA branch by December 1st. Local winners move on to compete at the regional level, and regional winners vie for national prizes.

    The grand national winner gets $1,500, while first place receives $1,000, second place gets $750, and third place is awarded $500. Each national winner gets a nice plaque recognizing their achievement, and all participants at the national level receive a certificate of recognition. Prizes may also go to students who win at the local and regional levels

    Class VI Students with special needs – Word count corresponding to grade level
