About the Air Access Bursary scholarship
The Air Access Bursary aims to incentivize students to pursue high-demand aviation programs, thereby contributing to meeting future workforce needs and bolstering Alberta’s economy.
Air Access Bursary Scholarship Eligibility Criteria:
To be eligible for this bursary, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Citizenship: Must be a Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident of Canada, or have Protected Person status under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (Canada).
- Alberta Residency: To be considered an Alberta resident, one of the following conditions must apply:
- One parent or legal guardian has maintained permanent residence in Canada for at least 12 consecutive months immediately before starting post-secondary studies and is residing in Alberta.
- Alberta is the last place the student has lived for 12 consecutive months immediately before commencing post-secondary studies.
- The student’s spouse/partner has maintained permanent residence in Alberta for 12 consecutive months before the student attends post-secondary education.
- Enrollment: Must be enrolled full-time in an aviation/pilot training program at Mount Royal University during the current academic year. Full-time enrollment constitutes taking at least 60% of a full course load (40% for students with disabilities) in both the fall and winter terms.
