About Auburn University at Montgomery – Housing Scholarship

We have a limited number of scholarships available for new freshmen who plan to live on campus. To be considered for this one-time award, you must first secure admission to AUM and then submit this application by April 1, 2024. The Freshman Housing Scholarship covers 50% of housing costs for the Spring 2025 term and 100% for the Summer 2025 term (students are responsible for Fall 2024 housing costs). Please note that this scholarship does not apply to private or semi-private rooms.

To apply, kindly complete this application with the required resume, letter of recommendation, and both essay portions fully filled out. Handwritten applications will not be considered or accepted in the scholarship, so ensure that all documents are typed. The submission deadline is April 1.

Requirements and Guidelines:

  1. You must be a first-time, full-time incoming freshman at Auburn University at Montgomery, accepted for admission in Fall 2024.
  2. To be eligible, you need a minimum high school GPA of 3.0 and an ACT composite score of 23 (1130 SAT).
  3. Respond to the two essay prompts below (with each response limited to 500 words or less) and attach a resume.
  4. Submit a separate Housing Application through the Office of Residence Life by April 1, 2024.
  5. To receive this scholarship, you must live on campus for Fall 2024, Spring 2025, and Summer 2025.
  6. Enroll in a minimum of 12 credit hours (full-time enrollment) for both fall and spring terms.
  7. Maintain a minimum AUM GPA of 3.0 to remain eligible.
  8. Be in good standing with Housing and Residence Life, and adhere to all rules, regulations, and policies outlined in the AUM Student Handbook, Code of Conduct, or Housing and Residence Life.

Scholarship Award Details:

  1. The Freshman Housing Scholarship is a one-time award for Spring 2025 and Summer 2025, and it cannot be renewed.
  2. This scholarship covers 50% of the student’s housing costs for the Spring 2025 term and 100% of the housing costs for the Summer 2025 term. However, students are responsible for covering the housing costs for Fall 2024. It’s important to note that this scholarship does not apply to private or semi-private rooms.

Please be aware that AUM Housing Scholarships are highly competitive and limited in number.
