Federal Fire Service Recruitment 2023: The Federal Fire Service is currently looking for qualified Nigerians to apply for their ongoing recruitment.

Federal Fire Service Recruitment Introduction:

The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) is seeking applications from qualified candidates to fill various positions in the Federal Fire Service (FFS). Categories of Positions:

Category A: Inspectorate Cadre

  1. Inspector of Fire (IF) – CONPASS 07 (Nursing)
    • Requirements: Registered Nurses (RN), Registered Midwives (RM), or Registered Nurses/Midwives (RNIM) from recognized institutions.
  2. Assistant Inspector of Fire (AIF) – CONPASS 06
    • Requirements: NCE or National Diploma (ND) holders in any related field from recognized Polytechnic/Institution.

Category B: Assistant Cadre

  1. Fire Assistant II (FA II) – CONPASS 04
    • Requirements: GCE Ordinary level, SSCE/NECO, or equivalent with a maximum of five (5) credits in not more than two sittings, including English and Mathematics.
  2. Fire Assistant III (FAIII), Appliance Driver (Specialist) – CONPASS 03
    • Requirements: GCE Ordinary level, SSCE/NECO, or equivalents with a minimum of five (5) credits in not more than two sittings, including at least English and Mathematics. Class E Drivers’ License is an added advantage.

Federal Fire Service Recruitment Application Process:

Candidates are required to apply online at CDCFIB Career Portal starting from Wednesday, 27th December 2023. Ensure to print and complete the Referee Forms for submission during the screening exercise. Multiple applications will result in automatic disqualification.

Statutory Requirements for Recruitment:

  1. Nigerian citizenship by birth.
  2. Possession of requisite qualifications.
  3. Medical fitness certificate from Government-recognized hospitals.
  4. Good character and no criminal convictions.
  5. Not a member of secret societies, cults, or drug addicts.
  6. No involvement in financial embarrassments.
  7. Age between 18 and 35 years.
  8. Height not less than 1.65m for males and 1.60m for females.
  9. Chest measurement not less than 0.87 for men.
  10. Computer literacy is an added advantage.

Submission of Application:

All applications must be submitted online within six (6) weeks from the date of publication.
