The GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship Program offers high school seniors across the United States the opportunity to receive college scholarships worth up to $40,000. These scholarships are awarded to students who demonstrate exceptional qualities such as leadership, integrity, drive, and citizenship.

Eligibility For GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship Program

To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must:

  1. Demonstrate leadership, integrity, drive, and citizenship in their communities, schools, and workplaces.
  2. Maintain a minimum 3.0 grade point average (on a 4.0 scale or equivalent).
  3. Be citizens of the United States.
  4. Be current high school seniors graduating in either winter 2022 or spring 2023, attending high school within the United States (including U.S. territories or commonwealths). Homeschool applicants and those living on U.S. Armed Forces bases outside the U.S. are also eligible.
  5. Plan to enroll in a full-time undergraduate program at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States for the entire 2023-2024 academic year.

Q: What does the GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship cover? What doesn’t it cover?

A: The scholarship can be used for tuition, fees, books, required supplies, and on-campus room and board. It generally doesn’t cover books bought outside of a student account, transportation, off-campus housing, groceries, club fees, or student loans. However, it may cover technology and specialized equipment needed for coursework.

Q: How is the scholarship funded?

A: The GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship is funded through a partnership between General Electric and the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute. It was established in 2011 to celebrate President Reagan’s centennial. President Reagan’s association with General Electric during the 1950s played a crucial role in developing his communication skills.
